L&B’s Folk Music demo: Part show-and-tell, part concert, part jam session
Sunday, September 9, 2012 12 – 2pm
Thursday, October 4, 2012., 7 to 9 p.m.
L&B lead a Woody Guthrie jam at Lasell College.
Jam sessions can be intimidating. Learn how to hold your own, recognize keys and chord changes, and fit right in. We’ll also cover the etiquette and guidance of jams. We’ll help you play “off the page,” offer some individual coaching, and mostly we’ll play, play, play! All acoustic folk instruments are welcome. (Skill level – for those who feel comfortable playing at least a few tunes on their instrument).
For kids and grown-ups of all ages! Bring your acoustic instruments and we’ll play and sing familiar and not-so-familiar, but simple, songs together.
